Mission/Philosophy

The mission and philosophy of the firm is to provide solid value to CEO's, owners and investors of client companies from a strong base of integrity and honest appraisal. Separating executive personal agendas from company/investor/shareholder objectives requires a special balance of skills. With many consulting organizations, integrity in each and every situation is not always consistent, when principals or partners are measured on revenues from a continuing relationship. The personal agenda of the consulting firm may compromise the delivery of candid and honest advice.

Our firm believes that each company, its management and investors are best served with the most honest appraisal of each and every situation, irrespective of the consequences to the firm. The firm believes that most challenges in business arise from what an executive "can't see or recognize". It is the philosophy of the company to probe for the key issues in every situation. The easier issues of market or industry dynamics, competitive actions, product deficiencies are apparent but the firm believes more fundamental issues are usually embedded in human relationship and executives personal issues. Sola and Company believes that candid appraisals of business functions usually leads to a focus on leadership in those business areas. The firm is not afraid to candidly address such issues for business owners and investors and propose solutions.

Principals

Mr. Sola has over 30 years of operational and investment experience at executive levels in professional services, integration services, internet services and software markets. He developed his own professional services firm that was eventually sold to Computer Sciences Corp, in 1987. He has worked with emerging companies as an angel investor and Director and has assisted public companies with merger/acquisition strategies and turnaround strategies. His operating experience, investment experience and consulting with growth companies provides a unique combination of strategic and operational experience. His knowledge of the key inhibitors to company growth and financial success provides the basis for sound advice and plans. His associations with many industry entrepreneurs provides him access to many associates that can be brought to bear for resolution of differing business challenges when multiple resources are required for an engagement.
